info@knockapp.appYou're anonymous by default. Your profile shows only a nickname (not your real name) and an aura color. No other user can see your actual identity.
We don't require a phone number, email, or real name to use the app.
A Knock is a short, low-pressure message you send to another person's signal, like a gentle tap on the shoulder. You write a short message to the other person. They can accept or pass silently with no notification either way.
There are three modes you can set before or during a session:
You can switch modes at any time from the lobby.
Knock uses your location only while the app is open, and only to find nearby venues you can check in to. We do not track you in the background, store your GPS coordinates as a record, or build any location history.
You can pass on any Knock silently, the other person is never notified. To block a user, tap their signal and select Block. To report inappropriate content or behavior, tap Report on the signal or message. Both actions are available without leaving the app.
You can also email info@knockapp.app with as much detail as you're comfortable sharing. We take safety seriously and will act promptly.
Go to Settings inside the app and tap Delete Account. We will delete your account and associated data, except any information we are required to temporarily retain for safety, fraud, or abuse review as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can also email info@knockapp.app with your deletion request. Include your anonymous User ID if possible (found in app Settings). We'll remove everything promptly.
Knock is currently iOS-only. Android support is something we're thinking about for the future. Stay tuned.
Try closing and reopening the app first. If the issue persists, email info@knockapp.app with your device model, iOS version, and a description of what happened. We'll look into it.
